Marnie Young-Cashmore | Head Coach
Marnie dived in the NCAA at CSULB. After college, she turned professional and dived with the Great American High Diving Team where she performed in high diving shows all over the world. She is a 16 time National and 1 time world masters diving champion. Marnie was the 1988 Hawaiian mixed pairs cliff diving champion and competed in the 1994 World high diving Championships where she dived from heights 60, 70 and 80 feet.
Marnie competes as a masters diver for Dive San Diego and has coached with Dive San Diego for the past 22 years. Marnie has been involved in promoting diving around Southern California where she performs comedy diving for local clubs and fundraisers. In addition to her diving career Marnie holds a masters degree and 2 teaching credentials in Adapted Physical Education. She is a teacher in a local school district in North County San Diego, and has received both National and State Teacher of the Year awards. She has been a leader in her field in California for over 20 years.
