HSRM (High School, Recreational, and Masters) classes provide personalized diving instruction for all experience levels. Whether you're preparing for a high school season, learning for fun, or continuing the sports as an adult, these classes focus on building skills, confidence and proper technique.
Divers will train Thursday and Saturday. We will provide 1/2 hour warm up on deck and then 1 hour of water training. Divers in this group are either focused on High School,
Recreational Diving or Masters Diving.
Masters Divers will highlight their goals and work with coaches to achieve the goals at a rate determined by the athlete.
High School Divers that don’t want to be responsible for the rigors of Club Training, will focus on High School goals and work with coaches at a rate determined by the athlete. Keep in mind that Divers will NOT spend over half of their training time on 1m. We are not inviting people to stall our 1m boards.
Recreational Divers are not prepared to meet Team standards and will work with coaches to meet diving goals determined by the athlete on a daily bases. These divers will also be expected to train on 3m for up to 75% of their time. We cannot afford to allow groups to congregate on 1m.
All divers will use the 3 meter boards starting the first day.
Should a diver be injured or not feeling well they will still be expected to use the 3m board. The forces associated with 3m are roughly 20% more than 1m. The fear factor is greater than 20% so it’s important to recognize athlete’s and parent’s attempts to limit 3m diving. It’s not about risk up there…. it’s about fear.
So if a Doctor says you are too injured to dive 3m….. you are too injured to dive 1m. Parents, Doctor’s, or Athletes will not determine that the athlete is cleared for 1m only. If you’re too injured to dive 3m…. you’re too injured to dive.
